Seychelles, 9 March 2006:
The annual SUBIOS (Sub Indian Ocean Seychelles) Underwater Film and Image
Festival has once again been lunched.

The official opening of SUBIOS 2006 on 6th March was held in Victoria by the
Vice President of Seychelles, Joseph Belmont.
This year's festival featured not only photographic and video
competitions but also a large range of exciting activities through a
series of film shows, displays and school presentations. Mr Tony
Baskeyfield, one of the few famous international guest speakers, was
present and educating guests about the marine eco-systems.
The closing ceremony took place in central Victoria on the 12th March and
featured school floats, film shows, open-air music played by a
selection of bands, artists' galleries, handicrafts and food stalls
offering authentic Creole cuisine.
