Seychelles, 16 June 2006:
Rick Dooley, a devoted rugby enthusiast and Managing Director of Helicopter
Seychelles, coaches the local SharksKidz rugby team since October 2005 in a
project also supported by the International School Seychelles.

Every Saturday about 30 kids from 6 to 12 years meet up during the early cool
morning hours for their training session at the Mont Fleuri playing field in
Victoria.
Besides sport, Rick Dooley, the founder of the club, also teaches discipline
and team spirit.
The red team's shirts, caps and support equipment is sponsored by Helicopter
Seychelles.
Comments by some of the participants:
I have found the weekly rugby clinics to be very fulfilling and am
encouraged at the overall progress made by all the youngsters concerned.
The clinics give the youngsters an excellent opportunity not only to improve
their ball skills but also to compete in a controlled environment in which
self discipline and mutual respect are encouraged.
With the International School Seychelles support, I have no doubt that these
basic life skills will hold the youngsters in good stead and that we will
continue to enjoy our Saturday mornings!!
Rick Dooley, Coach
Sharkskidz Rugby has and continues to be an amazingly fulfilling activity for
me. Ever since agreeing to assist Rick Dooley in coaching the "Rugby stars of
the future" along with my brother Daniel we have both been continuously
overwhelmed by the sheer energy that these young boys and girls have in order
to take on board so successfully a sport that commands a lot of discipline
and of course plenty of fitness. I have to admit that it is not only the
players that have learnt discipline; waking up at 07:30 am on a Saturday
morning isn't the easiest feat in the world for us! However the idea of
seeing everyone running around, shouting happily within 'the square,'
practicing their communication and teamwork, as well as the high speed
crunching of the tackle bags most definitely motivated me to continue helping
out. In all, the training sessions, always ending in a heated touch match,
are extremely beneficial to developing the team. Every aspect of the game is
taken into account and boy do we have fun!
