The Utegangar Riding Center, on the west coast of Mahé, is situated in
the Barbarons district by a small hidden beach named Anse Cimitiere.
The Utegangar Riding Center is the only riding facility on the island.
The centre caters to all levels of riding competence. Riding excursions
ranging from a minimum of one hour to half a day are available. Riding
lessons are also offered.
All excursions include riding on one of the nearby beaches: Anse
Cimitiere, Anse Barbarons and Grand Anse. Riding times are subject
to tide levels.
English general purpose saddles and standard tack are available. Spurs
are prohibited. Both helmets and half chaps are provided by the
riding centre. Helmet rules apply. The centre is open
everyday by appointment only. Bookings should be made at least one day
in advance.
