Anse Marie Louise Anse Marie Louise is the last beach along the tarred coastal road of southeast Mahé. It shares a quiet bay with Anse Forbans. Green Vouloutye bushes and coconut palms hide the beach from the roadside. Anse Marie Louise is protected by a reef approximately 100 metres offshore. Small coral stones are scattered across the beach due to the nearby reef. Swimming is only possible during high tide and beach sandals are recommended. Venturing outside the reef line should be avoided. Swimming can be especially dangerous during the southeast monsoon from May to October because of strong currents. This beach along with Anse Forbans is a lively meeting point for local picnickers on Sunday afternoons.
