Although this beach is more easily accessible by boat it is popular amongst locals for picnics. Anse du Riz is however a fragile beach due to its direct exposure to the forces of the waves. There are already signs of erosion on parts of the beach, but the situation is being monitored closely by environmental groups for seasonal sand movements.
